Mystic
Acres Farm is located in Low Pass, Oregon, outside of Eugene in the foothills of
the coast range.
I got my first two does in 1998 from Over the Rainbow Farm in White City, Oregon. I have been fortunate to have
one of them "OTR Magic's Hijinx" obtain her MCH (permanent championship) in only two
years time. She has been an outstanding milk producer, as well dam to several
herd sires and my first homebred ARMCH "Mystic Acres Hermione Granger".
Up until her untimely death in 2004, she continued to win GCHs and RGCHs.
Jinx
was also a winning milk producer, milking a half gallon a day at her peak. In
2003, she was 7th nationally in milk production and tied for 10th
place nationally for butterfat.
While still breeding Nigerians for milk production and show quality, in 2003 we decided to branch into crossbreeding Nigerian Dwarves and Oberhaslis to create Oberians, or mini-Oberhaslis.
